Cooking for Multi-day Kayak Trips (April Club Meeting)

Our 7 p.m. April 5 online meeting will focus on one of our favorite subjects: eating! A Zoom link will be sent upon registration. Non-members should register and then write secretary@nsska.org for the link.

Eating well can actually be a challenge on a multi-day kayak trip. You need to pack food that's going to last without refrigeration, that doesn't get completely squished in the hull of your boat, that is both nourishing and satisfying to eat, and that isn't too hard to make in your little backcountry kitchen. 

Karen Bertram likes to cook and Bill Brackin does too, and both will provide guidelines for backcountry cooking as well as ideas for meals, a few recipes, and resources for finding good-quality, pre-made foods. 

Join us for a fun hour that will whet your appetite for kayak camping in the upcoming warmer months.
