About this event
This past summer Susan Conrad embarked on another long slow paddle through this sometimes challenging waterway. She'll share stories and images of her 78-day journey paddling solo from San Juan Island in Washington to Sitka, Alaska. She'll compare this with her 2010 expedition, sharing the magic and misery she encountered along the way. Highlights will include raising awareness of BC's proposed Marine Protected Areas in the Great Bear Rainforest and retracing the paddle strokes of the late, great Audrey Sutherland, the grand dame of expedition paddling.
