Club Meeting - Navigating Your Way to a Safe & Fun Kayak Trip

Ever wonder what's involved in planning a sea kayaking trip? Want to start planning trips yourself? 

March's club meeting will cover all the bases! 

Diego Gabrieli from the Everett Mountaineers Sea Kayaking Program will give us an introduction to these fundamentals:

  • Wind and Weather -- How weather and sea conditions affect kayaking
  • Tides & Currents -- Considering tides and tidal currents 
  • Water Dynamics -- How features of the land above and beneath the water influence the water dynamics
  • Navigation Charts -- An introduction to navigation charts.
  • Navigation Basics -- Plotting a course, finding your position, and maintaining the course
